Flying back from one of the many visit in my fathers final years, I wrote the lyrics for this song. The music suggested itself over the course of several iterations.

A time before pain and the brevity
of his breath which each step he walks

Like a distant tune, heard but unseen
there's a brilliance just around the bend
But the moment passed as quick as a thought
A feeling he mourns as it ends

Mane is all silver, teeth yellow and dull, now his mind tend to wander mid speech
Embarrassed he covers it up with a joke
How his grasp is beyond his reach
